Can a paper helmet protect cyclists' heads?

This fascinating video from the BBC explains how a honeycomb arrangement of cardboard cells provides better protection than conventional polystyrene helmets.  Apparently half a million cycle trips are made each day in London alone, to improve safety it is essential to wear a well-fitting helmet.
Most helmets are made from polystyrene, but Dr Ayan Panja has discovered how humble sheets of paper - arranged in an ingenious way - can offer even more protection.
